CLINICAL SUPERVISION:
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

My approach to Supervision is informed by relational-cultural, feminist, narrative theories, with a trauma informed approach to care from a social justice and harm reduction lens. I believe being a therapist means to be actively engaged in advocacy and social justice. With this in mind, supervisees will be challenged to deepen their understanding of participants from an identity and systemic lens.

Viewing supervision as a collaborative space where trainees can take what they have learned from their education and weave it into their authentic professional selves. I actively attend to the intersection of identities both with myself and my trainee, consistently encouraging self reflection to examine how one’s social identity and lived experiences inform their practice.

As an art therapist, I encourage those under my supervision to explore creative and alternative interventions in therapy. Creativity and humor are the foundations of my supervisory practice. Believing we all have creative spirits, I invite supervisees to tap more intentionally into that side of themselves.

I have a Master’s in Community Counseling from Argosy University and a Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My experience includes working in middle/high schools, Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Jesse Brown Veteran Medical Center. I work with individuals, relationships, and families and regularly address a wide range of concerns, including but not limited to: stress management, relationships, self – esteem, anxiety, LGBTQ concerns/identities, trauma, grief/loss, depression, chronic medical issues, developmental disabilities, severe and chronic mental illness and substance use concerns.
